It was fun coloring this piece. I experimented a lot with color and coloring technique. I usually try to get my blends to smooth out as much as I can, but this time around I was less neat about it and dab colors down. I liked the rough effect. It looks pretty smooth because I blurred the image a bit for the final finish to give it a soft dream state look. It was a good exercise to get back into painting! Maybe now I can go back to planning out my drawings… Maybe. I’m not quite sure if my mind is ready for that yet. My mind’s been out of sorts lately so it’s been hard for me to draw like I used to. But I’m trying to, slowly.
